Into the Blogging Realm, What’s in a Name?

Years ago I forayed into the blogging realm, only to give up after a short while distracted by something else. Since having children 7 years ago my writing, once a passion, fell to the wayside in the frenzy of day to day life. We have ventured out as a family on many travels over those past 7 years, but my writing has been limited. I have relied on my photos to tell the story of our journeys.  Now, about to embark on our largest adventure ever, a three month journey to Europe, I have decided it’s time to write again. I want to share our travels with our friends and family, but mostly I just want to write again! I want the pressure of someone back home, waiting to read about our journey, spurring me on.

Why the name? Why to find a rock? Well anyone who knows me well knows I have a garage, yard, house full of rocks hunted and gathered on our many travels. It’s all about the rocks, the geology the history embedded in the earth waiting to be found. What treasures might we find in the future? Keep reading to find out!

Brilliant title, introduction and photograph, entering the canyon, back to the camera. Rock on (so to speak). Your writing and photography will also hold memories for years and years and enrich your experiences immensely. The rock doesn’t fall far from the cliff as we send greetings from Athens to Crete…..awake at four a.m. in a bloody freezing Oceanside pension,, orange and lemon trees barely warding off the frost. Love mom

Thanks! I find it so hard to picture Greece cold! I have this image in my mind that it is always sunny and warm there… so funny our impressions from afar.
